Amit Shah Highlights Importance of Cooperatives
In his speech, Amit Shah emphasized the UN’s decision to declare 2025 as the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC). He stressed that the initiative would benefit millions of poor people and farmers worldwide. Shah also praised PM Modi’s vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” (Prosperity through Cooperation), a campaign launched three years ago. India’s Cooperative Revival
Shah highlighted the revival of India’s cooperative movement over the last three years. He spoke about efforts to modernize Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and make them economically viable. As a result, the government plans to establish 2 lakh new PACS in the next three years, ensuring that every village panchayat in India has a cooperative society.
A Major Step Towards Rural Prosperity
This conference marks a significant step in promoting cooperative development in India. The initiatives and announcements made aim to bring economic empowerment and prosperity to rural communities. Through these efforts, India is focusing on building a strong cooperative network that can benefit farmers, women, and communities across the country.
