Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Brazil on Monday for the G20 Summit, marking the second leg of his three-nation tour. His visit follows a productive trip to Nigeria, where he held talks with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and met the Indian diaspora.

Upon landing in Brazil, the Ministry of External Affairs shared photos of his warm reception, while Modi expressed enthusiasm for the summit on social media. India, as a Troika member, plays a pivotal role in this 19th G20 Summit alongside nations like China and the US. Modi aims to drive discussions on unity and progress while strengthening ties with global leaders.

After the summit, Modi will visit Guyana, the first by an Indian PM in over 50 years. He seeks to deepen bilateral cooperation and explore ways to foster shared growth. This tour builds on India’s notable achievements as G20 president last year, including the African Union’s inclusion as a permanent member and a consensus on the leaders’ declaration despite differing opinions.

Modi’s diplomatic efforts underscore India’s commitment to the vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” and its growing global influence.
