PM Modi and President Biden bid farewell after 4 Yyears of strong ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden shared a farewell meeting at the G20 Summit, marking the conclusion of four years of close collaboration. Modi expressed his pleasure in meeting Biden, noting the strong bond they had built over the years. They met multiple times, including at a Quad summit in Delaware and during the G20 conference.
Throughout their tenure, Modi and Biden signed numerous agreements to boost cooperation in defence, climate change, and space exploration. Notably, the US agreed to license the manufacturing of military jet engines in India and support the growth of defence startups in the country.
The two leaders also upgraded the Quad to a summit-level forum and launched the I2U2 group, which includes Israel, the UAE, and the US. While they faced some differences, such as on the issue of Ukraine, their partnership remained robust and productive.
As they bid adieu, both leaders reflected on the lasting impact of their collaboration. The strong ties formed during their tenure are expected to continue benefiting both nations in the years to come.
