PM lauds UP CM for his efforts regarding Covid-19
Lucknow, June 26, (HS) On Friday Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the ‘Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh Employment Scheme’ and addressed labourers and workers across Uttar Pradesh through video conferencing. He highlighted the work done by UP CM Yogi Adityanath with respect to the current pandemic and lauded the efforts put in by him and his team, adding that UP has excelled the most in the ‘Atmanirbhar campaign.’
He said that the whole country should learn from the CM as he’s not just an example for the country but the world. He said that superpowers like England, France, Italy and Spain could not save its citizens but the CM proved himself.
He added that the population of these countries is equivalent to UP yet only about 600 people have lost their lives in the state as compared to these countries where around 1.3 lakh people have lost their lives due to Covid-19. He added that the CM was successful in saving at least 85,000 lives. He said that there was a grave danger due to the flow of migrants but he tackled it very carefully.
Regarding the employment scheme he said that the data prepared keeping in view the different skills of labourers and workers is impressive. He said that by joining the ‘Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh Employment Scheme’ with that of the centre, the CM has done a brilliant job.
While interacting with the labourers from six districts in UP, the PM highlighted about the ‘Budelkhand Expressway’ saying that it will change the face of the state.
Earlier Yogi Adityanath welcomed the PM and elaborated on the scheme. He said that through this scheme the state government will employ 1.25 crore workers in various projects. He said that under the scheme a loan of 5000 crore will be given to 2.4 lakh units and that of 3226 crore will be given to 1.11 lakh new units. In today’s programme tool kits were distributed among 5000 workers and artisans under ‘Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojna’ and ‘Ek Jila Ek Utpad Yoja.’
The PM concluded his address by requesting people to follow the central guidelines related to Covid-19 as the fight it still on. He asked people to stay safe and alert and that a day will come when the country will over the pandemic.
