As Navratri begins, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt wishes to the nation. He took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express his hopes for a prosperous and blessed festival. 

“Best wishes to all countrymen for Navratri. May this sacred festival dedicated to Shakti bring auspiciousness to all. Hail Mother Goddess!” he posted.

On the first day of Navratri, the Prime Minister offered prayers to Maa Shailputri, the first form of Goddess Durga. He shared his devotion on X: “A solemn prayer to Maa Shailputri on this sacred day! May her grace bless everyone. This praise of the Mother Goddess is for all of you.”

Navratri, a deeply revered Hindu festival, celebrates the triumph of good over evil. It is marked with great devotion across India. This year, Shardiya Navratri began on October 3, marking nine auspicious days of worship dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine forms. 

The festival highlights the power of the divine feminine and ushers in the festive season. People observe fasting, perform rituals, and engage in cultural celebrations during this period. 

The festival holds immense spiritual significance and brings communities together in prayer and festivity.
