PM Expresses Condolences for Mirzapur Road Accident Victims, Announces Ex-Gratia
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragic road accident in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. He conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a swift recovery for the injured. The accident claimed several lives and left many others injured.
Modi assured the public that the local administration, under the state government’s supervision, is providing all necessary support to the victims. He acknowledged the pain the families are going through and expressed hope for their strength during this difficult time. In a social media post on X, the PM wrote, “The road accident in Mirzapur is extremely painful. My deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. May God give them the strength to bear this pain. I also wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured.”
Additionally, the Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia payment of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased. He also promised ₹50,000 for each injured person. The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed these announcements in a separate post on X.
