PM congratulates Prez Murmu on being conferred with Suriname’s highest civilian award

New Delhi, 06 June (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated President Droupadi Murmu on being conferred with the Grand Order of the Chain of the Yellow Star – the highest civilian award of Suriname.

In response to a tweet by President Murmu of India, Prime Minister Modi said on Tuesday; “Congratulations to Rashtrapatiji on being awarded Suriname’s highest civilian award – the Grand Order of the Chain of the Yellow Star. This special gesture by the government and people of Suriname is a symbol of the enduring friendship between our countries.”
