PM calls scientific community to adopt Innovate,Patent,Product and Prosper strategy

Bengaluru,03 January(HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called upon the scientific community here to adopt the strategy of Innovate,Patent,Product and Prosper for time bound progress of the country.

He was addressing the scientific community after inaugurating the 107th National Science Congress Association at Dr Babu Rajendra Prasad Auditorium in Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra(GKVK) of the University of Agricultural Sciences(UAS).
Stressing the necessity of adopting information technology and new tools of innovation to address our problems he pointed out: Innovation needs to be aimed at the goal of by and for the people apart from ensuring the technology to adhere to logical temperament.
The prime minister called for a revolution in the field of agriculture for bringing a paradigm shift of the rural masses and resolve their problems in a time bound frame to make the benefits of research and development reach the people at the fastest possible time.
He called upon the scientists to find alternative to traditional forms of energy and the cheap and non degradable plastic in the form of metal,mud or fibre. The solution and alternative to plastic should also come from your own laboratories, he reminded.
Technology is a bridge between the people and government which is impartial of all basis and bias.A new approach for the new year is a must, he called upon.
I am very happy that the beginning of my new year and decade is happening with science and innovation.Last time I came to Bengaluru when the whole country was keenly watching our space mission, recalled the Prime Minister.
He was appreciative of the state capital by claiming: Bengaluru is not only a garden city but a science centre attracting scientists from all over the world for research and innovation.
The Prime Minister expressed happiness about the accomplishments of the scientific community at the global level.
Dr Harshvardhan, Union Minister of Science and Technology, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Earth Sciences mentioned that but for a couple of times the National Science Congress has been privileged enough in having the blessings of the country’s Prime Ministers ever since Jawaharlal Nehru days from 1947 till date upto Narendra Modi.
He praised the visionary approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in taking the country far ahead as far as accomplishments in science and technology are concerned.
The Union Minister also mentioned about the achievement of the city based Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research in occupying the seventh position in the world in the area of fundamental research.
BS Yediyurappa, Karnataka Chief Minister hoped that the science congress will make efforts in ensuring that the farmers get a fair price for their produce and the living standards of the rural people is enhanced for better.
