Planning Board Member of Tripura meets Vice Chairman of SITA, Assam

Guwahati, June 28 (HS): Planning Board Member of Tripura Priya Ranjan Swarup paid a courtesy call on Dipok Kumar Barthakur, Vice- Chairman, State Innovation & Transformation Aayog (SITA), Assam at the latter’s Official Chamber at Janata Bhawan today.

Swarup, who arrived this morning met Barthakur and exchanged views on the various projects of the Tripura State Planning Board. Swarup apprised the various plan and the various issues taken up by the neighbouring State. They also discussed on how the two neighbours can join and collaborate in formulating plans in certain areas which can benefit both the states.  Swarup emphasised on the necessity of co-ordinated approach on employment generation for young in the NE region in particular and the nation in general. A skill Development University is being mooted by the Tripura Government under aegis of Tripura Planning Board to impart innovative and new employment opportunities, he informed.
