Parliament witnesses uproar over the CAA,NPR,NRC..

New Delhi, Feb 3 (HS): The opposition parties created ruckus in both the Houses of the Parliament over the issue of CAA, NRC, and NPR, which was passed with the majority by the Parliament during its last session.

The opposition MPs shouted, ‘Save India, Save Our Democracy’ and have given Adjournment Motion Notice in the Lok Sabha. MPs protested against the incidents of firing at Jamia University and Shaheen Bagh.
As the house assembled, Lok Sabha witnessed an uproar over the firings at Jamia University and Shaheen Bagh and shouted slogans of “Goli maarna bandh Karo”.
Earlier in the morning, many of the opposition parties cutting across party lines have given notices in both the Houses of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to immediately discuss the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) that has seen fierce protests across the country during the last few months.
Three Congress MPs including Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Kodikunnil Suresh, and Gaurav Gogoi have given Adjournment Motion Notice in Lok Sabha to “reconsider Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) after unrest in the country and to halt the process of National Register of Citizens and National Population Register also”.
In the Rajyasabha too, the house is likely to see more turmoil over CAA, NPR & NAC  as the Trinamool Congress, Left parties, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and some others also have also given adjournment notices demanding immediate discussion.
Terming the CAA passed by Parliament as “unconstitutional” many have challenged the same in the Supreme Court which will hear the matter later this month, the opposition has demanded a detailed discussion on the CAA, NRC and NPR issue in both the houses.
Two major left parties, CPM and CPI have given a suspension of business notice in Rajya Sabha under rule 267 to over “prevailing situation in the country over the proposed NRC, NPR, and CAA.
Amid uproar in the Lok Sabha, the BJP leader Anurag Thakur got up to speak over the issue but the opposition MPs started shouting slogans of “Goli maarna bandh Karo” and hence creating a ruckus in the House.
Union minister Anurag Thakur came under fire recently over his recent speech at a Delhi election rally where he coined a provocative slogan, “Desh ke gaddaron ko, goli maaro saalon ko”.
