By Ramakant Chaudhary
New Delhi: The silence of Talkatora Stadium was ripped apart with rapturous applause when Prime Minister says, “Ek Bar Phir Aapka Ye Dost Aapke Samane Hai”, on the occasion of the third edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha. Around 2000 students, who are going to write board and other competitive exams, participated the programme. Eager to learn tips, the schoolchildren were ebullient when PM Modi said, “Speak to me hangtag without failure”.
Here are major takeaways from Prime Minister’s interaction with the students and teachers.
1. PM Modi referred Chandrayaan moon landing setback as an example of rising from failure and overcoming demotivation during exam. We can add enthusiasm to every aspect of life.
2. Students should not be afraid of failure. We can find lessons for success even in our failures. Failures are a part of life.
3. Good marks in exams are not everything. We have to come out of the thinking that exams are everything. Examination is an important milestone but not the end of the world.
4. During writing exam, we should
start with an easy question that makes other question easier to attempt. Don’t enter examination hall with any fear, have faith in yourself.
5. Technology shouldn’t steal our time, rather we should keep them in our control. We should be familiar with fast updating technology. It should be used for gaining knowledge. Students should learn 10 vocabularies with help of smartphone everyday.
6. Students should study at the time when they feel more comfortable while morning is the ideal time to study. But we shouldn’t make excuse for not studying.
7. PM Modi underlines the importance of extra-curricular activities. If you do not do any extra activity, you become like a robot. Today opportunities are many and youngsters could make use of them.
8. The Prime Minister has advised parents that we should pursue our children but not pressurise them. If you pull a spring beyond a level, it will become a wire and not remain useful.
9. Students should spend time with parents and elderly.
10. PM Modi asks students to read his book “Exam Warriors” to deal with failures and exam pressures.
