Pakistan to send its first astronaut to space in 2022

Islamabad, July.26(HS): Pakistan Minister of Science and Technology Favad Chaudhry Hussain  wrote on Twitter that the first selection process to send Pakistani space will start from February 2020.

Chowdhry said that, Proud to announce that selection process for the first Pakistani to be sent to Space shall begin from Feb 2020,fifty people will be shortlisted — list will then come down to 25 and in 2022 we will send our first person to space, this will be the biggest space event of our history

According to the report, Chaudhry said that since their country does not have its own Satellite Launching facility, it will set the path of space with the help of China. They said that this process will be implemented under the agreement between China and Pakistan.
