Pakistan army violates ceasefire in the Balakote sector
Udhampur,26 May(HS): The Pakistan Army fired mortar bombs at forward posts along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir (UT) Poonch district today morning, a defence spokesperson said.
No casualty was reported in the Pakistani firing, he said and multiple houses damaged in Pak shelling along LoC in Balakot and Sandote area of Mendhar and many animals killed and injured in Pak shelling.
According to the reports Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire in the Balakote sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir (UT), early morning today.
The Pakistan Army initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and intense shelling with mortars across the Line of Control (LoC) in the Balakote sector. The Indian Army retaliated befittingly to the violation. Further details are awaited.
