PAK again violates cease fire on LOC in Gulpur
Poonch, January 24, (HS) : After a lull of two days, Pakistan’s army again violates cease fire in Gulpur sector on LoC last night.
Sources said that Pakistan Army violated cease fire and targeted civilian areas and forward Indian posts in Gulpur sector of Haveli Tehsil in Poonch District.
Mohd. Shakeel a local of Gulpur said last night at around 10.30 pm, Pak army opened fire in our village and on Indian Army forward posts.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer said that last night at around the troops of Pak Army opened unprovoked firing on civilian areas and Indian forward posts along LOC in Gulpur sector. In turn Indian army also retaliated with equal calibre and the exchange of fire continued till 5.00 in the morning.
Defense Pro Lt. Col Anand confirmed that Pak violated cease fire last night and said Pak army initiated unprovoked CFV by small arms fire and also shelling with heavy caliber weapons in Gulpur, Poonch sector in J&K. Indian Army also retaliated strongly and effectively to give befitting reply to Pakistan forces, Col Anand said.
