Paddy procurement in Haryana: 3.60 lakh tones of paddy passes issued

Chandigarh, October 6 ( H S ) : For the procurement of about 3.60 lakh tones of paddy in Haryana, passes have been issued on e-Kharid portal of Haryana.

While giving this information here today, Additional Chief Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi said that the work of procurement of paddy at Minimum Support Price in the state has been duly started from October 3, 2021.

He said that at the beginning of the procurement process, sometimes problems arise when a large number of farmers come to the grain market at the same time to sell their produce. During this situation all possible efforts are being made by the state government to overcome these kinds of problems.

He said that he is hopeful that the situation will become completely normal in the coming days and the paddy procurement process will operate smoothly as in the previous years.
