NSDC affiliates with TikTok for skill development in youth
New Delhi, July.15(HS): National Skill Development Corporation(NSDC) and Chinese short video online platform TikTok have joined hands for development of skills in youth of India and thus, they celebrate the World Youth Skills Day on 15th July. This platform will be used to develop skills in its multilingual users over 20 crore across country. It will provide vocational training and programs. This partnership is in line with TikTok’s mission of providing global platform to showcase talent and skills of youth across India.
Nitin Saluja, director of public policy, TikTok, said that they hope to help NSDC to fill the existing gap in skills of youth by educating their users about their programs. On the other hand, government aims to develop skills in youth on wider basis with speed and high standards to achieve the vision ‘Skill India”.
It is noteworthy that TikTok is a popular platform to post videos among digital savvy youth of India available in 10 Indian languages. It comes with convenient features to use, create and find the content online.
