Noted author Dr Birbal Jha to address the New Delhi World Book Fair on 10th January

The 28th edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair, at Pragati Maidan, has been a centre of attraction for large numbers of book lovers, braving the cold wave in the city.

The annual book fair launched in 1972 registered a footfall of 12 lac people last year, notwithstanding the Netflix, podcasts, audio-books and the likes on the internet.

Dr Birbal Jha, who shot to fame for his innovative English communication skills training, cultural and literary contributions, is expected to address a gathering on an invitation from Gullybaba Publishing House Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, in the Seminar Hall at 6 pm on 10th of January.

The youth icon, Dr Jha will interact with aspiring authors on ‘why we should write a book or about a book’, informed Mr Dinesh Verma, Director of Gullybaba.

“The young generation needs to acquaint themselves with what it takes to write and publish a book. A literary contribution to the world is something invaluable and hence it cannot be equated with anything else. Writing the book not only adds to the value of the individual but also the society at large by creating new streams of thoughts and perspectives”, said Dr Jha when contacted.

Apart from being a top communication skills trainer and the Managing Director of British Lingua, which has been able to help improve the lifestyles of lacs of students who were deprived of English education and employability skills, Dr Birbal Jha is also a noted author, social entrepreneur, linguist, columnist, social thinker-worker and cultural activist. He has more than 30 books to his credit, on various aspects of English communication skills, personal growth, parenting, culture and society.

Dr Jha coined the slogan ‘English for all’ and devised the English SIM, standing for Structural-cum-Interactive Method for his training program.

In recognition of his expertise, the Government of Bihar entrusted him with implementing the first-ever ‘Spoken English and Capacity Building’ program for Government High School-teachers. He has been able to bring about noticeable changes in the lives of more than 30 thousand Mahadalits in the state.

He headed the first-ever training in Spoken English Skills to those, who were the first points of contacts for 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi. Dr Birbal has also been accorded the status of the ‘Youngest Living Legend of Mithila’.
