Nepal President approves to postpone budget session
New Delhi, July 02, (HS) Nepal’s President Vidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday gave her approval to postpone the budget session. Also, a letter has been sent from the parliament to the secretary.
After a cabinet meeting that was held at the official residence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at Balowatar. The decision was taken amid an ongoing internal dispute between Nepal’s current PM and former PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda. The Dahal-led faction in Nepal’s ruling party has demanded Oli’s resignation.
On Wednesday, NCP’s Standing Committee met in which 17 out of 18 members demanded Oli’s resignation. In this meeting, senior leaders Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Madhav Nepal, Jhalanath Khanal and Bamdev Gautam demanded Oli’s resignation citing the failure of the PM on various issues.
