Patna, Bihar — Less than a week before Phase 1 voting, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unveiled its 2025 Bihar election manifesto, promising rapid growth and inclusive development. BJP chief J.P. Nadda and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar released the “Sankalp Patra” in Patna this morning, outlining jobs, women-led growth, and infrastructure transformation as core goals.

Youth and Employment

The NDA placed jobs at the heart of its agenda. Bihar, long known for migration, could see a turnaround if the alliance returns to power. The manifesto promised one crore government jobs and a skill census across districts. The government plans to create skill-based employment through “Mega Skill Centres” in every district.

The alliance also announced “Centres of Excellence” for sports in Bihar Sports City and other divisions. “We will turn Bihar into a global skilling hub,” the document stated. The NDA aims to retain youth by linking education, training, and industry needs.

Women Empowerment

The manifesto set an ambitious goal of creating one crore “Lakhpati Didis.” Under the Chief Minister’s Women Employment Scheme, women will receive up to ₹2 lakh in financial aid to start enterprises.

Through “Mission Crorepati,” the NDA aims to turn successful women entrepreneurs into millionaires. Nitish Kumar called it “a step toward financial freedom for every woman in Bihar.” The alliance wants women-led enterprises to anchor rural growth.

Infrastructure Push

The NDA promised a record infrastructure expansion. Plans include seven new expressways and modernization of 3,600 km of rail tracks. Bihar will get four international airports in Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, along with metro networks in four cities.

The manifesto detailed ten new industrial parks in each district and 100 MSME parks across the state. Over 50,000 cottage industries will receive state support. The alliance also pledged a defence corridor, a semiconductor manufacturing park, and a “world-class Medicity.”

Each district will get a medical college, while textile and silk parks aim to make Bihar the hub of South Asia’s fabric industry.

Farmers and Rural Growth

For farmers, the NDA guaranteed Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops. The government will raise Kisan Samman Nidhi from ₹6,000 to ₹10,000 annually. Assistance for fishermen will double from ₹4,500 to ₹9,000.

The alliance promised ₹1 lakh crore investment in agricultural infrastructure. Irrigation, cold storage, and rural connectivity will receive priority. “Bihar’s future lies in empowering its farmers,” said Nadda.

Culture and Tourism

The NDA plans to develop Sita’s birthplace into a world-class spiritual hub named Sitapuram. It also proposed Vishnupad and Mahabodhi Corridors, along with Ramayana, Jain, Buddhist, and Ganga tourism circuits.

With big-ticket promises and a sharp focus on jobs, women, and infrastructure, the NDA’s Bihar manifesto sets a high-stakes narrative just days before voting begins.
