NCP leader DP Tripathi dies in Delhi after prolonged illness..

New Delhi, Jan 02 (HS): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former MP DP Tripathi died at the age of 67 after a long illness. DP Tripathi was born in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He had been the president of Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union. DP Tripathi started his political career in the congress party but joined NCP in protest against Sonia Gandhi.

NCP leader Supriya Sule has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of DP Tripathi. NCP leader Supriya Sule tweeted, “deeply saddened to hear about the demise of D.P Tripathi Ji. He was the General Secretary of @NCPspeaks and a guide and mentor to all of us. We will miss his wise counsel and guidance which he had given us from the day NCP was established.”
