Nafisa Ali was born on 18 January 1957 in Kolkata. Nafisa was a successful model early in her career and then was the National Swimming Champion from 1972-74. After this, the year 1976 proved to be the turning point of the actress’ career when she was confered Miss India
She started her career in 1971 as a child artist in the film Junoon. She appeared in few films like Terror, Major Sahab, Life in a Metro, Guzaarish, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Sahab Biwi Aur Gangster 3 (2018). Some time ago she expressed her desire to work in films by posting on Instagram.
Nafisa Ali is the wife of former colonel and polo player Ranveer Singh Sodhi. She went against family wishes and married Ranveer Singh Sodhi in Kolkata. Post marriage, Ranvir’s mother did not allow Nafisa to stay in the house, due to which Nafisa was forced to stay in Ranvir’s friend’s house. However, Nafisa later found a place in the in-laws and became part of the family.
There was setback in her life when she was besieged by health problems. She was diagnosed with cancer that too third stage. She took the inevitable news boldly and carried on undaunted..
