Municipal councilor among one policeman killed in terror attack at Sopore
Jammu, March 30(HS): A municipal councilor was killed while a police personal martyred in Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore district on Monday in a terror attack. Police said terrorists fired at Municipal Office Sopore this afternoon and in this terror incident, police personnel Shafqat Ahmad and councilor Riyaz Ahmad died and councillor Shams-ud-din Peer was injured. Police said immediately after incident the injured were shifted to hospital where one of them, the councilor and the SPO succumbed to their injuries. The civilian has been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment. However, an area has been cordoned off and further details awaited.
