PRAYAGRAJ, JUNE 20 (HS): Prayagraj MP, Dr. (Prof.) Rita Bahuguna Joshi donated 19 oxygen concentrators to community health centres (CHCs) in the district’s trans-Yamuna region, with the goal of helping them to tackle the projected third wave of Covid-19. Dr. Prabhakar Rai, the CMO of Prayagraj, was also present. The MP stated that she had received 29 oxygen concentrators for Lucknow and Prayagraj thanks to the generosity of Singapore people in order to assist medical facilities in upgrading available resources and prepare for the upcoming challenges.

She said that 10 of the oxygen concentrators were given to the Railway Hospital in Alambagh and the Cantonment Hospital in Lucknow, while the remaining 19 were delivered to Covid-19 treatment centres in Prayagraj’s trans-Yamuna area, including Ram Nagar, Manda, Chaka, Kaundhiara, Karchana, Koraon, Shankargarh, and Jasra. “There are three sizes of oxygen concentrators: 15 litres, 10 litres, and 7.5 litres. “Because most of these have multiple nozzles, one machine can benefit two patients,” she noted.

The CHCs in Ram Nagar and Manda each received two oxygen concentrators (one with a 15-litre capacity and the other with a 10-litre capacity), while the CHC in Meja received two 7.5-litre capacity oxygen concentrators. The CHCs in Koraon, Jasra, and Shankargarh each received two oxygen concentrators (one with a capacity of 10 litres and the other with a capacity of 7.5 litres), while the CHC in Chaka received two oxygen concentrators (one with a capacity of 15 litres and the other with a capacity of 7.5 litres).

According to the MP, Kaundhiara CHC has one 10 litre and two 7.5 litre oxygen concentrators. She also stated that one oxygen concentrator would stay with the CMO for use as needed.

The MP stated that she had adopted the Karchana CHC and had contributed Rs. 25 lakh from her MP fund to upgrade it. With the help of CSR activities from several companies, the MP stated that she hoped to further develop the CHCs and PHCs in her parliamentary area.
