Modi wraps up global diplomacy: from G20 to Guyana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi successfully concluded his five-day diplomatic tour, visiting Nigeria, Brazil, and Guyana. First, he attended the G20 Summit in Brazil, where he engaged in bilateral talks with global leaders. Afterward, he traveled to Guyana for the final leg of his trip.

In Guyana, Modi co-chaired the India-Caribbean Community Summit alongside President Irfaan Ali. He also addressed the Indian community and spoke at a Special Session of Parliament. Highlighting diplomatic achievements, Guyana and Nigeria both honored Modi with prestigious awards, strengthening their ties with India.

Marking a historic moment, Modi’s visit was the first by an Indian prime minister to Guyana in over 50 years. The Ministry of External Affairs called the tour “warm and productive,” emphasizing efforts to boost trade, investment, and cultural cooperation.

This visit underlines India’s growing focus on the Caribbean region. Through strategic diplomacy, Modi has reinforced India’s global presence and partnerships.
