Modi meets Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa
New Delhi, Dec 17 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Costa on Thursday. During this time, the two leaders discussed topics related to strengthening mutual relations in the fields of defense, science, technology and trade.
Costa has come to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi to attend the second meeting of the organizing committee to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

During their talks, the leaders discussed the broader roadmap for strengthening relations in areas such as defense, science and technology and trade.
This is the second meeting of the Prime Ministers of the two countries in 3 years. In addition, the two leaders have met on several multilateral events. This is Costa’s first trip outside Europe after being re-elected on 6 October.
