Modi government to launch ‘one nation-one ration card’ scheme

New Delhi, June 28 (HS): Modi government  is now going to launch a ‘one nation-one ration card’ scheme to give consumers convenience. In fact, linked  the ration card to the Aadhaar number has given great success to prevent theft and fraud in the system.
After implement by ‘one nation-one ration card’ scheme proposed by the government, consumers can pick up grains at subsidized rates from any ration shop of any other state. With this facility, consumers who migrate to cities for livelihood and jobs will be able to get a lot of benefit.
The Central Food and Consumer Ministry convened a meeting of all food secretaries of the country in Delhi . In this meeting, the Union Food Minister Ram Vilas Paswan spoke about nation-one ration card scheme. He said that the government will do all possible work for the benefits of consumers. Along with this, ration shops will also help in the prevention of arbitrariness and theft.
Ramvilas Paswan said that in some states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana and Tripura this program is known as Integrated Management of Public Distribution System (IMPDS). Food secretaries liked this arrangement, which are ready to be implemented in all their states.
