As the third and final phase of Jammu and Kashmir’s assembly elections began, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged voters to actively participate. He stressed the importance of each vote in shaping the region’s future.

Voting took place across 40 seats in seven districts, including Jammu, with over 39 lakh eligible voters. These voters will decide the fate of 415 candidates. The election results are set to be declared on October 8.

Modi expressed confidence in the youth and women of Jammu and Kashmir, urging them to vote in large numbers. He highlighted their critical role in ensuring a vibrant democracy.

Union Minister Amit Shah also called for a strong voter turnout, emphasizing the need for a visionary government. He underlined the importance of electing leaders who can address issues of security, stability, and development in the region.

With 202 candidates contesting 16 assembly segments in Kashmir and 24 in Jammu, including Udhampur, Samba, and Kathua districts, this final phase is crucial. The outcome will play a significant role in determining Jammu and Kashmir’s political future.

As the polls progress, the government remains hopeful that voter participation will lead to a decisive and transformative leadership for the region.
