Modern Gym Starts Functioning in Sarusajai Sports Complex
Guwahati, Mar 1 (HS): A modern Gym and Fitness Centre started functioning at Sarusajai Sports Complex in Guwahati today. Mahadev Deka, runner up in the Musclemania Super body World Championship in 2008 and Mr Universe, 2009 inaugurated the gym in the presence of a large number of players and coaches.
On the occasion Mahadev Deka spoke about diet and nutrition. He also said that by taking selective locally grown food, an Athlete can perform his best and achieve the desired goal.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Sports Authority of Assam, Onkar Kedia called for making full utilization of the Gym. He said, it will be upgraded and further modernized in phases depending upon the need and requirement.
Secretary, SAA, Dharmakanta Mili and Administrative Officer, SAA, Kamaljit Talukdar also spoke on the occasion.
The Gym at Sarusajai Sports Complex shall cater to the needs of the Athletes from the regular coaching as well as to the Athletes coming for training and Competitions held at Sarusajai Sports Complex. This modern Gym will also cater to the locals residing adjacent to the area and help build a healthy environment.
