Mig 21 crashed in Moda, Punjab
New Delhi, 21 May (HS): A MiG-21 crashed near Bagha Purana in Moga, Punjab, around 1 AM on Thursday-Friday midnight. It was going from Halwara station in Ludhiana to Suratgarh in Rajasthan during an Indian Air Force exercise in the western sector. According to the reports Squadron Leader Abhinav Chowdhary who was flying the aircraft, also killed in the accident.
According to the information, the fighter aircraft took off from Halwara Station and after some time the engine of the aircraft caught fire.
The aircraft collapsed causing a massive explosion in the area. The police were informed of the accident that occurred close to the village Langeana Khurd. After some time, senior officials reached the spot and informed the concerned Defence authorities.
