Meerut Shocker: Wife & lover admit to brutal murder, sealing body in drum!

Saurabh Rajput, a baker in London for two years, returned to Meerut on February 24. His passport was expiring, forcing him to come back to his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and their daughter.
On Tuesday night, Meerut police arrested Muskan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, for Saurabh’s murder. The police revealed that Muskan had been demanding a divorce for two years, but Saurabh refused. Meanwhile, an elaborate murder plot took shape at home without his knowledge.
A week after his return, Saurabh vanished. His family members, unable to reach him, filed a complaint. When police questioned Muskan, she broke down and confessed. She admitted to drugging Saurabh’s food on March 4. Once he lost consciousness, Sahil arrived, and they killed him using a newly purchased knife and blade.
As police investigated further, the gruesome details emerged. Muskan and Sahil cut Saurabh’s body into pieces, intending to dispose of them in a bag. When they failed, they bought a plastic drum, sand, and cement the next day. They sealed the body parts inside the drum, hiding it in their home in Brahmpuri Colony.
Saurabh’s cousin, Bablu, reported him missing on March 5 and suspected Muskan’s involvement. Senior Superintendent of Police Vipin Tada formed a team, including Circle Officer Antriksh Jain and City Superintendent of Police Ayush Vikram Singh, to investigate. They detained Muskan and Sahil for questioning. Under pressure, the duo revealed every detail of the crime.
Shockingly, while carrying out the murder, Muskan had sent her six-year-old daughter to her maternal grandparents. She and Sahil then fled to Shimla before returning home on Monday. The couple’s marriage had been strained for at least two years, with constant fights and resentment.
A local court sent Muskan and Sahil to judicial custody. Police continue to investigate, ensuring justice for Saurabh’s brutal murder.
