Meerut police revealed shocking details about Saurabh Rajput’s murder. His wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla, killed him on March 4. After the crime, they vacationed in Himachal Pradesh, visiting Manali, Kasol, and Shimla.

Saurabh, a merchant navy officer, returned from London to celebrate his wife’s and daughter’s birthdays. Muskan drugged his food, making him unconscious. She and Sahil then stabbed him to death. They dismembered his body and sealed it in a blue drum with cement and sand. Their first attempt on February 25 failed when Saurabh did not lose consciousness.

Initially, they planned to dispose of the body in a secluded area. Instead, they hid it inside their home. While Saurabh’s body lay encased in cement, Muskan and Sahil enjoyed their getaway, believing they had covered their tracks.

Muskan’s parents, Kavita and Pramod Rastogi, expressed shock. Her father called her “unfit for society” and demanded the death penalty for both accused. “Saurabh left everything for Muskan, but she took his life. She has lost the right to live,” Pramod said.

Police arrested Muskan and Sahil, presenting them to the media on Wednesday. A court sent them to 14-day judicial custody. Chaos erupted during their court appearance when lawyers tried to attack them. Police intervened to prevent violence.

Investigators also suspect a drug connection. They claim Sahil introduced Muskan to drugs, particularly marijuana. Authorities are now probing this angle to uncover more details.
