Mayawati hit out at congress over the deaths of 100 infants
New Delhi, Jan 03 (HS): Samajwadi Party supremo Mayawati on Friday hit out at Congress party for the deaths of 100 children that took place in a hospital in Rajasthan and demanded resignation of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
Mayawati said that instead of taking some vital steps to check the mortality of the infants in the State, Gehlot has been indulging in giving excuses for his inefficiency.
“Lagbhag 100 masoom bachcho ki hui maut par, apni kamion ko chhipane ke liye aaydin chori aur seena jori wale arthaat gair-zimmewaran va asamvedansheel tatha ab raajnaitik bayanbazi karna, yah ati sharmnaak va nindniya hai,” tweeted Mayawati.
“This is highly shameful,” tweets Mayawati. She lambasted the Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra for her “indifferent attitude” towards the deaths of children in the Rajasthan state.
More than 100 mothers have lost their children, congress party can’t get away with just expressing its displeasure over the issue, rather Sonia Gandhi should immediately dismiss Gehlot from the party
She added.
She also said that congress should have chosen a right and efficient person as chief minister in the state instead of Gehlot such that these incidents do not recur.
Mayawati ‘s reaction came in the wake of deaths of more than 100 infants that took place in a government run hospital in Kota.
