Mass Contact Programme over CAA & NRC in Telangana.
Telangana:Hyderabad: Dec 30(HS): Telangana state BJP has chalked out a 12- days long “mass contact program to furnish factual information and allay fear among the people of Telangana on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)-2019, National Registrar of Citizenship (NRC) and National Population Register(NPR). These details were shared by the State General Secretary Manohar Reddy and N.Ramachander Rao MLC at a Press conference hosted at their party office today.
Congress and other opposition parties have been misleading Muslims with rumors and provoking people over the CAA stating that they may lose citizenship. BJP central leadership has unleashed a “ Jan Jagaran campaign at a national level to allay fears of minorities over the new amendment to Citizenship Act and NRC.
As part of the campaign, Telangana state BJP has evolved a program commencing from 30th December, three protest meetings at Hyderabad, Karimnagar, and Adilabad in which central leaders including union ministers would participate and address meets.
State party leadership would also conduct door to door campaign from January 8 to 13 next month to bring awareness among the general public Why CAA and NRC is deemed necessary and how it is no way harming minority interests?
Telangana state leadership also asked district party presidents to organize district level workshops with intellectuals and educationists on CAA on January 2 3 and 4. Workshops on the issue would be organized at the municipal level on January 5, 6 and 7 and rallies would be taken out in support of CAA, NRC, and NPR, according to state BJP.
To create awareness in rural areas about CAA, NRC, and NPR, the party after holding a state-level workshop issued direction to its leaders and cadre to organize flying of kites with the photo of CAA/Modi and organize a competition of “ Rangoli” in every village.
