Malaysia PM postponed session of Parliament for two months
Kuala Lumpur, Mar 04 (HS): The new Prime Minister of Malaysia, Muhiddin Yasin, postponed the start of Parliament proceedings for two months. Now, this Parliament session will start on 18 May.
On Wednesday, Speaker Mohammad Arif Mohammad Yousuf issued a statement that he had received a letter from Muhiddin Yasin, stating that the session of Parliament would begin on 18 May.
It is noteworthy that after the resignation of the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir Mohammad, the King of Malaysia has elected Muhyiddin Yasin as the new Prime Minister. He believes that Muhiddin had the support of most people in Parliament. Muhiddin was an interior minister in Mahathir’s cabinet. He has joined hands with the UMNO Party and the Islamic Party PAS to establish a new alliance.
