Major Terrorists Plans Foiled by security Forces
Poonch, 09 May, (HS) : In a major success security forces busted a hide out and recovered Hand Grenades from forest area Pagla in Surankote Tehsil of Poonch district.
Defense Pro Devinder Anand said nefarious designs of inimical elements to disrupt peace and tranquility in Poonch region was foiled today morning by alert security forces. He said based on a specific input that terrorists were planning to target security forces on NH 144A, a well coordinated joint operation was launched by Indian Army Rashtriya Rifles and JKP. Relentless development of intelligence by both the agencies led to recovery of a huge cache of grenades in general forest area Phagla hidden in a well concealed natural hideout.
He said 19 Hand Grenades have been recovered. Anand said busting of hideout has averted a likely major plan of attack on Security Forces. The Security Forces and JKP operating together against terrorism and their commitment towards stability in the region.
SSP Poonch Dr. Vinod Kumar interacting with Hindusthan Samachar said 16 RR Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police got a major success this morning when they recovered 19 Hand Gernades from forest area in Phagla village of Poonch. Replying over a question he said we have registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
