Maharashtra Home Minister meets family members of injured Gadchiroli cops
Nagpur, 16 November (H.S): Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil met Gadchiroli Police personnel, in Orange City Hospital, Nagpur. Four policemen, who were injured in encounter with Maoists in jungles of Gadchiroli district, are being treated here.
Walse Patil then moved to Gadchiroli to meet family members of police personnel killed in such encounters. He has proposed to give agricultural land to the affected family members, as a part of their rehabilitation. He also assured to consider their demand of providing jobs to one of the family members on compassionate ground. He directed the Superintendent of Police Ankit Goel to submit a proposal on the issue.
Urban development Minister Eknath Shinde, Additional Director General of Police Dr B K Upadhyay, Special DG Chhering Dorje and other senior officers accompanied wales Patil.
Gadchiroli police had eliminated 26 naxalites in a major encounter, which included senior leader Milind Teltumde.
