“Lets fight against Corona”: Kohli
New Delhi, March 14 (HS): The second and third matches of the ODI series between India and South Africa have been canceled due to the Coronavirus threat. After which there is a lot of disappointment among cricket fans. Seeing the rising outbreak of Coronavirus, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has given a special message on his Twitter account advising fans to avoid ‘Corona virus’.
Kohli tweeted, “Fight the ‘Corona Virus’ vigorously, taking precaution. Stay safe, be vigilant and most importantly prevention is better than cure. Everyone please take care of yourself.”
The South African team has came to India to play a series of three one-day matches. But ‘Corona virus’ spoiled the fun of this series. In fact, on 12 March, the first match played at Dharamshala was canceled due to rain. After this, the second and third matches have been canceled due to Coronavirus.
Whereas earlier BCCI had announced by tweeting that matches played in Lucknow and Kolkata will be played in closed doors. But then BCCI canceled both the matches. Now the South African team will fly home today.
It is noteworthy that Corona, which started from Wuhan in China, has spread its footsteps in 127 countries of the world. Corona’s havoc is decreasing in China, but the death toll in other countries of the world is increasing.
According to the World Health Organization, 321 people died of Corona in the last 24 hours worldwide. In this way the total death toll in the world has reached 4973. A total of 1,34,679 people are infected with Corona in the world, while a total of 69,142 people have been discharged after treatment.
