Launching of Chandrayaan-2 delayed due to technical snag
New Delhi, July 15 (HS): Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) deferred the launch of Chandrayaan-2 in early morning due to technical flaws. After the countdown of 56 minutes 24 seconds , there were some technical flaws, after which the decision of taking off was postponed. Now a new date will be announced soon.
ISRO tweeted, giving information about this, “The technical defect was seen in the launch vehicle system on T-56 minutes. As a precaution, the launch of Chandrayaan-2 has been postponed for today. The new date will be announced later”.
ISRO further tweeted that a technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at 1 hour before the launch. As a measure of abundant precaution, Chandrayaan-2 launch has been called off for today. Revised launch date will be announced later.
Ravi Gupta, Former Director Public Interface DRDO said ,It was the right decision to call off Chandrayaan2 launch. We could not have taken any chance in such a big mission. Several rounds of testing are performed of every part. Every movement needs to be monitored at every second.
After accomplishment of this mission, India will be the fourth country in the world to reach the moon. However, it will have to wait a bit longer.
