The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the application window for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Interested candidates must submit their applications by 6 PM on the official UPSC website (upsc.gov.in or upsconline.gov.in).

Candidates can make corrections to their application from February 19 to February 25, 2025. To apply, candidates must first create a One-Time Registration (OTR) profile. This profile is valid for life, and after creating it, candidates can directly fill out the application form.

The application fee is ₹100. However, female, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates are exempt from the fee. Applicants must possess a graduation degree or an equivalent qualification. Those awaiting results can also apply, but they must prove graduation completion when selected for the interview.

For those with medical degrees like MBBS, BDS, or Veterinary Science, proof of internship completion is necessary. If the internship is not completed by the exam, candidates can still apply provisionally but must submit proof during the interview process.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old but not older than 32 years by August 1, 2025. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved category candidates. The UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) 2025 will be held on May 25, 2025.

This recruitment drive will fill approximately 979 vacancies across various civil services.
