Land grabbing has became hallmark of TRS leader across Telangana: Uttam
Telangana: Hyderabad: January 18: ( HS) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President & Nalgonda MP Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that land grabbing has become the hallmark of TRS leaders across Telangana State.
Speaking to media persons after attending the Huzurnagar Municipal Council meeting on Monday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that TRS leaders were involved in land grabbing from Hyderabad to Huzurnagar and other parts of the State. He said that the situation has turned so worse that even TRS councillors were complaining of land grabbing by their own party leaders in Huzurnagar.
He said that the councillors also about the corruption in execution of municipal works and lack of transparency in the functioning of municipality. Uttam Kumar Reddy pointed out several high profile cases of land grabbing, involving top TRS leaders, which have been hitting the headlines ever since K. Chandrashekhar Rao became the Chief Minister. He said that Keesara MRO Nagaraju was caught red-handed by the officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.10 crore. However, the involvement of TRS leaders in the case could not get exposed as two main accused persons, including the MRO, committed suicide. Similarly, TRS corporator and her husband faced allegations of grabbing Osmania University land. Ruling TRS leader also grabbed prime lands at Balapur under Bundlaguda mandal.
Thee TPCC Chief also pointed out that a video recording of Minister Ch. Malla Reddy went viral on social media last wherein he admitted that all land grabbers were TRS leaders.
He said the ruling party leaders also grabbed land belonging to Hyderabad Central University. TRS leaders encroached upon many parks and constructed illegal structures on the bed of the Musi. He said Hyderabad witnessed the worst ever floods last year primarily due to the encroachment of lakes and other water bodies by TRS leaders since 2014. He said no area of Telangana has been left where TRS leaders did not grab or attempted to encroach upon private and government lands.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Bowenpally kidnap case, in which former minister of Andhra Pradesh Akhila Priya has been named as the main accused, was more complicated than it was presented by the Hyderabad Police. Stating that ‘there was something else behind the land dispute’, he added that the land grabbing activity of TRS leaders has also led to a series of other criminal activities in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana State.
The TPCC Chief alleged that CM KCR has crushed the dream of Telangana and turned the new State into a den of corruption, land grabbing and other illegal activities. He said an ACP was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for having disproportionate assets worth Rs. 70 crore. He said that the huge amounts seized by the ACB in different cases clearly shows that officials have no fear of law as they are enjoying the backing of TRS ministers, MLAs and other leaders. He said the rising cases of land grabbing and corruption were an indication that CM KCR has lost grip over administration.
