Poonch, 19 March, (HS): In order to aware Farmers about different schemes, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Poonch today flagged off exposure tour of 25 farmers to Agriculture University Palampur (HP) for training cum orientation programme. The Tour was flagged off by Muzaffar Mir senior scientist along with other dignitaries.
The tour will provide training to farmers regarding cultivation of different crops and vegetables, interaction among farmers and farmers will learn about latest techniques about farming.
Dr. Muzaffar Mir, interacting with Hindusthan Samachar, said that objectives of tour is to provide an opportunity to farmers to learn latest techniques of farming which will strengthen economy of farmers by introducing machinery which reduces manual hard working in farming profession. He said during their visit farmers will interact with other progressive farmers of Himachal and will share their experiences which will help them in Farming. He said this is five days tour through which famers can learn many latest techniques of Farming which will help them in doubling their income. he said KVK Poonch is working hard to bring PM dream of doubling the income of Farmers in to reality.
