Kerala RSS leader Srinivasan hacked to death
Thiruvananthapuram, 16 April (HS): Law and order in Kerala has gone haywire as Srinivasan, an RSS leader, was hacked to death in a gruesome manner allegedly by a five member SDPI gang on Saturday noon at Palakkadu.
The attackers charged into the shop were Srinivasan was sitting and attacked him with knives, swords and other sharpened objects. Though an injured Srinivasan was rushed to a nearby private hospital, his life could not be saved despite the best efforts by the doctors.
C Krishnakumar, district president of the BJP, said that Srinivasan succumbed to the injuries because of profuse bleeding. Onlookers said Srinivasan had many cuts on his head, hands and legs and has lost lot of bloods. The attackers armed with deadly weapons came in three bikes, rushed into the shop and attacked him grievously. Persons who carried Srinivasan to the vehicle were seen sobbing uncontrollably.
Zubair, an Islamic extremist outfit leader had been killed on Friday by unidentified persons and the District Police are in the look out for the attackers. Though the Chief of Kerala Police had issued a red alert all over the State following the murder of Zubair, it proved to be ineffective as was seen on Saturday.
Krishnakumar told the media that Srinivasan was murdered by extremists of the SDPI, a dreaded Islamic outfit in the State. On November 15, the district saw the gruesome murder of E Senjith, another RSS leader by the SDPI activists. Zubair, the SDPI leader who was murdered on Friday had been interrogated in connection with the murder of Senjith.
