Telangana: Hyderabad: March 31 2021: AICC National Spokesperson Dr Sravan Dasoju on Tuesday warned the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Minister KT Rama Rao and asked them to stop their irrational, irresponsible and fake statements on job announcements which are dubious in nature and leading to students’ suicides in the state. He criticized them for substantial failure in tackling unemployment and for lacking a thorough strategy to address the sensitive and most important issue in Telangana.

The senior Congress party leader along with OU JAC Leader Dayakar & Youth Congress Telangana State General Secretary PRABHAKAR visited NIMS Hospital. And after consoling the unemployed youth, Sunil, who attempted to commit suicide and currently undergoing treatment at NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad, addressed the media.
Dr Sravan lamented that it will surely become a government’s murder, if unfortunately Sunil is dead, as the unemployed youth from Warangal had fed up with absence of timely job notifications in Telangana ever since its formation. “It’s so sad that Sunil has after losing confidence on the government regarding job notifications resorted to an extreme decision to commit a suicide. Luckily, he was saved by the fellow youth and is currently under treatment. But, doctors said that his condition is critical and is deteriorating day by day and he is on a ventilator. If, something goes wrong or if he will die unfortunately, it will definitely be considered as a government’s murder. KCR and KTR must be ready to face dire consequences”, Dr Sravan warned.
The AICC leader lamented that CM KCR and KTR who are ruling the state from Pragathi Bhavan turned a curse to Telangana and alleged that they are completely misleading the state and its people by ignoring and destroying the three core pillars – Water, Funds, Jobs – of Telangana agitation and killing the spirit of late Prof Jaya Shankar sir. They are in a notion that it is fine if Rythu Bandhu and Pensions are implemented and nothing else is there to do in the state, he criticized.
While criticizing the statements made by CM KCR and KTR regarding job notifications, he said that they are trying to cheat 40 lakh beleaguered unemployed youth in Telangana with fake announcements. Dr Sravan finds fault with the government’s unwillingness to fill up all the vacant jobs legitimately and lamented its escapist behaviour on fulfilling promises made to its citizens. “As per the Biswal commission, there are 1.92 lakh jobs are vacant and 1.5 lakh employees are working on contract basis. Additionally, since more districts and mandals have been established, another 2 lakh jobs should have been created. Put together there are about 4-5 lakh jobs vacant in Telangana. But, the government is only coming up with a notification to fill up just 50,000 jobs which is not acceptable. Moreover, the CS said that the number of jobs meant for direct recruitment through the departments raises questions on the notification’s reliability. It probably becomes the contract job notification rather than full time permanent job notification as all of us considered”, Dr Sravan pointed out.
He doubts about government going ahead with the job notification, since the TSPSC is currently headless (Chairman) and not in a position to issue any notification as it doesn’t have the required quorum of two more Members in the board. While appealing to the unemployed youth of Telangana not to take extreme decisions like suicides, Dr Sravan urged them to join hands with the Congress party, which began a war against the government over employment issues, to intensify the stir to secure the constitutional rights by bending the necks of KCR and KTR. Dr Sravan has ensured that the Congress party will always be standing in support for Sunil’s family and assured them the necessary support will be extended at any time he added.
The senior Congress party leader has further criticized CM KCR and KTR for continuously cheating and looting the people of Telangana through various fake announcements and divulging into unethical election practices to win at any cost. This is once again witnessed during the Nagarjuna Sagar bi-elections, he said.
