Karnataka Government releases Rs 200 crores for preventing Coronavirus

Bengaluru,24 March(HS): Karnataka Government has released Rs 200 crores towards tackling the prevention of deadly Coronavirus in the state.

BS Yeddyurappa, Chief Minister making this announcement in this state Assembly this morning also revealed a series of measures to face the challenges posed by the fatal virus infection scare literally shivering the humankind at large.
The chief minister declared that two months food grain will be distributed to all Ration card holders of the state in advance and immediately.
He also stated that 21 lakhs construction workers of the state will be provided with Rs 1,000 per month and advance payment of two months pension to all social security pension holders.
All beneficiaries of the Badavara Bandhu scheme for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 have been waived with the loans, he informed.
This scheme was initiated during the previous regime of HD Kumarswamy led JDS-Congress alliance government to extend a loan of Rs 10,000 for street vendors.
The chief minister also announced payment of two months advance to all beneficiaries of the MNREGA scheme.
