Karnataka Government receives complaint against Assembly Speaker

Bengaluru,04 March(HS): The Congress legislature party leaders and members today met the Governor Vajubhai Vala this morning and presented a memorandum seeking his intervention in the proceedings of the state Assembly.

Siddaramaiah, leader of the opposition in the state Assembly led the delegation.
Later, talking to media persons Siddaramaiah informed of having sought the intervention of the Governor who also happens to be the constitutional head of the state.
He accused Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri, state Assembly Speaker of stalling a discussion on the derogatory statements of Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) legislator against centenarian freedom fighter HS Doreswamy.
Basanagouda Patil Yatnal has been repeatedly gunning down the veteran freedom fighter terming him a fake freedom fighter.
