Bengaluru,15 July(HS): The countdown for the 14 months old HD Kumaraswamy led Janata Dal-Secular and Indian National Congress(INC) alliance government looks to have begun as there are no signs of any of the 15 dissident legislators withdrawing from their firm resolve to resign.
In the meantime, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) legislators have continued to remain united despite claims by the ruling combine that they will spring a surprise by indulging into a ‘Reverse Operation’. As of now, there are no indications about any such possibility in spite of the ruling combine floating names of four BJP legislators said to be crossing fences during the trial test of the coalition government.
On the contrary, all the 15 dissident JD-S and INC MLAs’ who have been camping in Mumbai continue to remain united and firm in their stance of not withdrawing their resignations submitted to the membership of the state Assembly.
Instead, they have reaffirmed their resolve to stay united together and on the other hand, have complained to the Mumbai police that they are not interested in meeting any of the Congress party leaders who were reported to be flying to Mumbai to persuade the erstwhile party colleagues.
As of now all the legislators belonging to the JD-S, INC and BJP have already reached the Vidhana Soudha to attend the Assembly session.
According to Congress sources, Siddaramaiah, leader of the legislature party has advised the legislators to keep their calm even if the opposition BJP members try to instigate them.
It would also be the same line of thinking even in the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party but insist upon the Assembly Speaker to take the vote of confidence issue first as the government has lost its majority.
