Karnataka: BS Yeddyurappa to be sworn as CM for the 4th time

Bengaluru,26 July(HS): In a sudden and surprising development BS Yeddyurappa, former chief minister and state Bharatiya Janata Party president today declared that he would be sworn as chief minister this evening at around 6-6.15 pm.
 
He made this announcement to media persons this morning, after meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan where he had gone to meet the Governor and put forth his claim to form the government.
 
According to Raj Bhavan sources, BS Yeddyurappa will be sworn in this evening in Raj Bhavan at 6 pm and according to indications available BS Yeddyurappa alone will be sworn in. However, BS Yeddyurappa disclosed: I will talk to Amith Shah, national BJP president to discuss on the probables in the new ministry.
 
He also appealed all the MLAs’ and MLCs’ belonging to the rival Congress and Janata Dal-Secular parties, including former chief ministers’ HD Kumarasamy and Siddaramaiah to take part in today’s swearing-in function.
 
KR Rameshkumar, speaker of the state Assembly had disqualified three Congress MLAs’ Yesterday while the resignation letters of other 14 Indian National Congress(INC) and Janata Dal-Secular(JD-S) are still pending before him for disposal.
 
It’s not clear yet as to whether the remaining legislators’ resignation letters will be accepted, rejected or will be disqualified from the membership of the state Assembly.
