Joint session of Parliament, President Kovind said – Constitution beats the heart of Indian democracy
New Delhi , Nov 26 (HS): On the occasion of Constitution Day, President Ram Nath Kovind released the Atal National Youth Parliament Scheme Portal. Along with this, Vice President Naidu also released a book and its first copy was presented to President Ramnath Kovind, along with a postage stamp and a commemorative coin to commemorate the 250th session of Rajya Sabha.
On this special occasion, President Ramnath Kovind also inaugurated a digital exhibition. In this exhibition, the whole story from constitution-making to the constitution is told. The original copy of the constitution can also be seen here.
President Ramnath Kovind said that it is a privilege for all of us to be a participant of this historic occasion. Created a classic and vibrant document with which our future is secure. This is our supreme law which keeps guiding us. We have adopted the best rules available in many constitutions in the world. Our constitution is the constitution of the people of India for the people of India, created by the people of India. It is a national document.
The heart of Indian democracy beats in our constitution. Amendments were also made to maintain this vibrancy. The election of 78 women MPs in the 17th Lok Sabha is a proud achievement of our democracy. This is an important political and social change.
Rights and duties are two sides of the same coin. The need is that all of us should fulfill our duties and create a situation where there can be effective protection of rights. Developing the spirit of humanism is also a fundamental duty of citizens.
