Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalize divorce, nearly 5 months after filing: report

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are officially divorced, nearly five months after Lopez filed for dissolution in August 2024. The divorce follows a brief two-year marriage, which began in a Las Vegas ceremony in 2022. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, both parties have settled the terms.
They agreed to retain their individual earnings from their marriage. Neither will pay spousal support, and Lopez will revert to her maiden name, “Lopez,” as part of the agreement.
Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, 2024, citing the couple’s separation on April 26, 2024. Speculation about their relationship had surfaced months before the filing, with Lopez making solo appearances at the 2024 Met Gala and other events.
Despite their separation, Lopez and Affleck have maintained a friendly relationship. They attended family events together, including gatherings with their children. Affleck’s children from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner—Seraphina, Samuel—and Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, were part of these moments.
In December, Lopez and Affleck reunited for a holiday meal at Soho House in Los Angeles, surrounded by family members. Despite the divorce, they continue to support each other as co-parents and maintain a cordial rapport.
