Jake Paul Defeats Mike Tyson in 2024’s Biggest Boxing Clash
Jake Paul defeated Mike Tyson 79-73 in a highly anticipated boxing match at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Saturday. The eight-round fight, billed as 2024’s biggest, showcased a clear skill gap between the two fighters. Tyson, at 58, struggled with slow reflexes, showing signs of age, while Jake Paul steadily gained control.
Tyson started strong, but by the later rounds, Paul dominated. Despite the competition, mutual respect was evident; Jake Paul called Tyson the “G.O.A.T.” and bowed to him at the end of the match. Tyson, in turn, praised Paul as a “good fighter.”
Earlier, Katie Taylor successfully defended her titles, defeating Amanda Serrano in a thrilling match for the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO titles. In the first main undercard event, India’s Neeraj Goyat triumphed over Whindersson Nunes in a six-round contest, winning unanimously (59-55, 60-54 X2). Mario Barrios also retained his WBC welterweight title with a victory over Ramos.
